Happy New Year- TIME TO GET ALIGNED!!!

As 2018 draws to a close today, I want to express my deepest gratitude for all your hard work and dedication. You are the best team a coach could ask for!

I hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy the holidays with the people you love and to enjoy some down time.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to get back on track with my schedule and get re-aligned!

I’m going to argue against making New Year’s Resolutions this year. What, no New Year’s Resolutions??? Yes, throw out that scratch piece of paper and keep reading…….

“New Year’s Resolutions are like milk left out of the fridge….neither keep for very long!!!”

While I hate to sound negative on a day filled with so much promise and hope, most resolutions and goals set for 2019 won’t come to fruition.

“Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result means you are insane or you’re setting a New Year’s Resolution!”

What makes 2019 any different than years past?? 2019 will be exactly the same as 2018…..unless you do things differently. What are you willing to do differently?

While it’s wonderful to get a blank slate and start fresh every year, January 1 is just an arbitrary day. All year long, day in and day out, 365 days per year is the time for change. All of you who prioritize your training and nutrition do so not because of a resolution but because your actions are aligned with your values. You value becoming the STRONGEST VERSION OF YOURSELF…..not just on January 1, but everyday of the week.

I’m going to let you in on the greatest little secret when it comes to achieving a goal: you must have alignment between what you truly want and your actions! It’s all about alignment.

The first step is figuring out what’s most important to you when it comes to your health and fitness. You must know your WHY. For me, it’s all about redefining aging. I want to age differently than the crowd because the crowd looks like CRAP!

When it comes to health and fitness, what’s most important to you right now? What do you value most? Please take a few minutes to think about that. Only when you clearly define what you value will you take the necessary steps to draw closer to that vision. In order to achieve your goals, your actions must be closely aligned with what you value. Not just some of your actions…..Every. Single. Action. If your actions are not in alignment with what you value, it’s going to take you a whole heck of a lot longer to achieve your goal….or may never achieve it all.

Truth be told, we can’t achieve our goals when there are discrepencies between our actions and what we profess we value. That’s called a lack of alignment. Life doesn’t work well when we’re out of alignment.

Again, the first step is to Know your WHY! And Know it well!

2019 is a New Year…..and I hope that it is an amazing one for each and every one of us. The next 365 days are your opportunity to align how you spend your time with what is most important to you. The greatest mistake is to live out of alignment. Please don’t spend another year focused on actions that don’t get you closer to your health and fitness goals. Life’s too short.

Trust me, I hear a lot of excuses. People tell me they want to get stronger or leaner or this or that but their actions don’t align. Training and nutrition programs don’t work if you don’t follow them. What are you going to take the time to do in 2019?? NOT SHOWING UP IS NOT AN OPTION!!!!

To be authentic, we must live a life aligned with our highest values. Success with our goals only comes from alignment. But I never said alignment was easy, it takes dedication, time, and hard work. It takes motivation and self confidence. But most of all, it takes a STRONG PURPOSE. What’s yours? Seriously, what’s yours? Email me back, I want to know.

I promise that if your actions are aligned with your values, you will always achieve your goals and become the Strongest Version of Yourself… will never need to rely on a yearly resolution to make positive long-term changes in your life. Skip the resolution and get ALIGNED!
